Cursor Handbook

About this site

An independent reference for the Cursor editor, written by one person, funded by advertising, and dated so you can tell how stale it is.

What this site is for

Cursor ships weekly. Its documentation keeps up, but it is written as documentation: one concept per page, organised by product area, assuming you already know which page you need. A lot of the questions people actually have sit across several of those pages at once. What does a month really cost. Which model pool is a given model in. Why does the CLI sign-in not carry over from the editor. Which font is that in the screenshots.

This site answers those questions in one place each, with the numbers stated plainly and a link to the official page the fact came from. It is a reference, not a tutorial series and not a review site.

How pages get researched

Every factual claim on this site was read off cursor.com, the Cursor documentation, or the Cursor changelog before it was written down. Where a number is volatile, like per-token model prices, this site does not mirror it at all; it describes the structure and links to the official table. Where a number is stable enough to be useful, like monthly plan prices or the contents of a plan, it is stated here along with the date it was checked.

Nothing here is generated from a model’s memory of what Cursor used to do. That distinction matters more than it sounds: several widely repeated claims about Cursor pricing were true a year ago and are not true now.

Why the date on every page

A page about a product that changes weekly is only as good as its last check. Every page here carries a verification date near the top, and the sitemap uses the same date. When you land on a page with an old date, treat the official link at the bottom as the authority and this page as context.

How it is funded

Google AdSense, and nothing else. No affiliate links to Cursor or its competitors, no sponsored sections, no paid placement in comparisons. Advertising pays for the domain and the time; it does not buy a position in the text. If a page says a feature is not worth its price, that is the honest read.

Relationship to Anysphere

There is none. Cursor is a product of Anysphere, and the Cursor name and logo belong to them. This site uses the name to say what it is about, which is ordinary nominative use, and links to cursor.com throughout. It is not endorsed by, affiliated with or reviewed by Anysphere, and you should not treat anything here as a statement from them.

For anything that touches your account, your billing or your data, go to Cursor support rather than emailing this site. Nobody here can see your account.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the official Cursor website?
No. The official site is cursor.com, run by Anysphere. This site is an independent reference written by a reader of that documentation, and it has no affiliation with or endorsement from Anysphere.
Who writes these pages?
Cursor Handbook is written and maintained by uwarp.design, a one-person independent publisher. There is no editorial team and no sponsored placement.
How do you make money from this site?
Display advertising through Google AdSense. There are no affiliate links to Cursor, no sponsorships, and no paid reviews. Nothing on a page changes based on what an advertiser wants.
How often is the information updated?
Every page carries the date its facts were last verified against cursor.com, currently 25 September 2026. Prices, model names and plan limits change often, so that date matters more than the publication date.
What should I do if a page here is wrong?
Email uwarpdesign@gmail.com with the page and what is wrong. Corrections to factual errors are made directly rather than as an appended note, and the verification date moves with them.
