Release notes

Cursor ships fast enough that reading the changelog is how you find out what you already have.

What it does

Cursor publishes release notes on its changelog page, grouped by version. Entries cover the editor, the CLI, cloud agents and mobile, which is worth knowing because a feature you read about on the blog may have landed in only one of those surfaces so far.

Because releases are frequent, the most common cause of a feature being missing is running an older build rather than the feature not existing. Checking your version before troubleshooting saves a lot of time.

Cursor's version numbering is its own, not VS Code's. The About dialog shows both: the Cursor version and the VS Code version the build is based on.
