What it does

Cursor describes Glass as a new interface built to make working with agents clear, intuitive, and in your control. The framing matters: as more work moves from you typing to several agents running at once, the bottleneck stops being generation and becomes supervision, and the old chat sidebar was not designed for that.

Glass lives in its own agent window rather than a panel docked beside the editor, which gives concurrent runs room to be visible at the same time instead of hidden behind tabs.

You need Cursor 3.0 or later. If the command is missing from your palette, the update page walks through moving to the current release.

Using it

  1. Update to Cursor 3.0 or later. Glass does not exist on earlier builds. Check your version from the About dialog before hunting for the command.
  2. Open the agent window. Press Ctrl+Shift+P, or Cmd+Shift+P on macOS, and run Open Agent Window.
